Kagan Law Group Opens in Annapolis

As of February 1, 2015, Attorney Jonathan Kagan has formed Kagan Law Group, LLC, in Annapolis, with two attorneys, Michael Marinello and Meagan Cooper. The firm’s focus is civil litigation, employment, and business law. Kagan, Marinello, and Cooper all previously worked for Baldwin Kagan & Gormley in Annapolis, which ceased operation on January 31, 2015.

Jonathan Kagan has been in private practice in Anne Arundel County for over 20 years as a trial attorney. Mr. Kagan is a past president of the Anne Arundel County Bar Association and is currently the Chair-Elect of the Litigation Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. Mr. Kagan is consistently recognized by his peers in Super Lawyers for Maryland as an outstanding business and employment litigator, as well as a “Leading Lawyer” in What’s Up Annapolis magazine in the areas of litigation, employment law, business law, real estate and personal injury. Mr. Kagan currently serves on the Ethics Commission for Anne
Arundel County.

Michael Marinello, a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, served with the Navy Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps for seven years before going into private practice with BKG in 2012 and quickly earning recognition as a Rising Star in Super Lawyers for Maryland and a “Leading Lawyer” in What’s Up
Annapolis magazine. Meagan Cooper clerked for The Honorable Clayton Greene, Jr. in the Court of Appeals of Maryland, and prior to her clerkship graduated from University of Maryland School of Law, where she served as an associate editor of the Maryland Law Review.
